When enabling login for an IRBManager contact you will be able to select their role (administrator, staff, etc.) and whether they will have alienable or inalienable rights.
Alienable means that, if that person is the PI or study staff on a particular study, their rights as an administrator, staff, etc. will be revoked for that study. In other words, they will have as much access to their own study as another researcher who is not involved with the IRB, IACUC, etc.
Inalienable means that their rights as an administrator, staff, etc. cannot be revoked.
Committee members who are not administrators or staff will automatically have alienable rights because it is assumed that these individuals are researchers.
